Labubu dolls
Labubu is based on elves. Fairy Labubu from the picture book "Mysterious Buka", black and white lines and wild strokes, so that Labubu with fairy sky group suddenly fame. Seemingly evil and sneaky with sharp fangs, Labubu is kind at heart. Labubu is one of The many characters in The Monsters created by designer Long Jia Sheng. Labubu's creator, Long Jia Sheng, a Hong Kong toy designer currently living in Belgium, moved to the Netherlands with his parents when he was a child, and he does not speak Dutch. He began to read Dutch picture fairy books under the advice of his teacher, which also opened his road to painting.
Long Jiasheng, who likes painting, after reading many elf stories, turned his love for the elf into the theme of creation, and discussed various problems that people will encounter from the perspective of the elf, including family, love and friendship, hoping that readers can see the message that the story wants to convey in his paintings.
Long Jia Sheng, who was originally the creator of the picture book, did not materialize the elves in the picture book until 2010 in cooperation with Hong Kong toy brand How2work, and created more characters, such as Labubu, which is based on the elves in the Mysterious Buka.
